Kung Fu Classes
At our martial arts centre in Norwich you're welcome to join our beginner level Kung Fu classes. As you progress at our school more advanced and specialised classes will be opened to you.
Choy Li Fut 蔡李佛 is one of the five main traditional Kung Fu systems, it’s practiced worldwide. Bruce Lee started to learn Choy Li Fut towards the end of his life, this quote is what Bruce Lee had to say about Choy Li Fut Kung Fu.

Beginner classes
The foundation stage of your Kung Fu is important, you will set goals that will stay with you through many years of learning and advancement. Improve and developing strength, flexibility, focus, speed, willpower and balance. In beginner classes you will learn: kicking , blocking, striking, forms, pushing hands and some self-defence applications. You're welcome to just turn up to a beginner level Kung Fu class either:
Monday 7:30-8:30pm or Thursday 6:30-7:30pm
Cost £10 per lesson

Intermediate classes
In these classes more time is given to learning and improving the intermediate level forms. You start using weapons both in forms, drills and application. For those who have an interest in teaching, instructors training starts in the intermediate classes. To join the intermediate level classes you must have passed your yellow sash testing.

Form classes
Forms are detailed choreographed patterns of movements practiced either solo or in pairs some times with weapons. Join the forms class and you will rise through the grading syllabus faster than you would in the standard classes. Animal styles
The 15 animal fighting styles of the Choy Li Fut Kung Fu is only known to a small number people. In our animal style forms we will help you find the best animal style for you.

Sparring and self-defence
There are many ways to spar. We start first with controlled drills, then slow sparring and grappling, etc.
Pushing hands
Pushing hands is said to be the gateway for students to experientially understand the martial aspects of the internal martial arts(內家 nèijiā): leverage, reflex, sensitivity, timing, coordination and positioning. Pushing hands works to undo a person's natural instinct to resist force with force, teaching the body to yield to force and redirect it.
Private lessons
Private lessons are the fastest and most effective way to learn. With continuous assessment, feedback and a tailored learning program just for you, you're guaranteed to succeed. Any level student can learn through private lessons. Private lessons cost £40 per hour
